I loved this book when I was a child. Once I had my daughter 3 months ago, I wanted to sing the songs to her too. Brought back beautiful memories.
I read this in elementary school and now that we’re expecting I had to get it for our little boy.
Just ordered one of these because my original copy got lost to time and multiple moves =( It's great! I grew up singing these from the book with my mother and had the original cassette tape (which was not included with this purchase, nor a cd). In agreeing with some of the other reviewers, the book and recording is a little lack luster in pronunciation and translation, but this doesn't bother me much if only because I learned them this way as a child and Spanish was not my first language. The songs are catchy and sweet, and as long as they keep being made I'll make sure each of my nieces and nephews gets one. Very sentimental and a nice gift to pass down!

The book is lovely but unfortunately there wasn't enough padding in the packaging so one corner was slightly bent. Not a big deal for personal use, but this is a gift... so... yes.
...instead of those horrible translations of Dr. Seuss.
This wonderful collection of Latin American children songs, rhymes, and poems is priceless. Lulu Delacre's illustrations are just a delight to all the senses and bring back wonderful childhood memories. My go to gift for new additions for friends and family.
